• 20110219 The Harrison Nichols Foundation Board of Directors and their spouses (lft-rt) Mike and Gina Nichols, Jason and Erin Marriott, Eric and Linda Brown, Sheila and Michael Brady, and Angie and Stephen Tinnell. . The 2nd Annual Harrison Nichols Foundation Gala, 'Believe in the Unbelievable', was held Saturday night, Feb. 19, at CenterStage in NoDa.. The Harrison Nichols Foundation was fashioned from one child's fight against a currently incurable cancer known as Neuroblastoma. The longer Harrison struggled to beat this deadly disease, the more evident it became that this battle would only be won with medical, financial and scientific support. The Harrison Nichols Foundation's goal is to provide that support. Its focuses are to offset the financial burdens of families fighting Neuroblastoma, to raise local and national awareness regarding Neuroblastoma, and to fund both the education and research necessary to find a cause and a cure. © Laura Mueller - www.lauramuellerphotography.com

  • Michael Knox knows many of the people that pass by the Cornelius home where he has lived for 20 years. He always waves whether he knows them or not. Many wave back.
Knox grew up in the Cornelius area not far from a Main St. that has changed so much right before his eyes.
His front porch remains the same however, with him on it, waving at the world as it rushes by.
