  • 20120316 LAKE NORMAN MAGAZINE - Mark and Amanda Zeaser, members of the Carefree Boat Club of Lake Norman brought their friends, Will and Jessica Banias out in a Sea Ray Sundeck 240 for a day on the lake.<br />
     Marc and Oana Graveline opened the Carefree Boat Club of Lake Norman in May, 2010.  <br />
     Boat clubs allow members the joy of boating without the expenses and responsibilities of ownership. Depending on the boat club, members pay a one time joining fee and monthly dues for unlimited access to the club's fleet.<br />

  • Dr. Carol Quillen became the 18th president of Davidson College on August 1, 2011.<br />
     An accomplished administrator and a respected scholar, Quillen came to Davidson from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she served most recently as vice president for international and interdisciplinary initiatives. A member of the history faculty at Rice since 1990, Quillen served from 2004 to 2008 as the first director of the university's Boniuk Center for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance. <br />

  • Michael Knox knows many of the people that pass by the Cornelius home where he has lived for 20 years. He always waves whether he knows them or not. Many wave back.<br />
        Knox grew up in the Cornelius area not far from a Main St. that has changed so much right before his eyes. <br />
        His front porch remains the same however, with him on it, waving at the world as it rushes by.<br />
