CAROLINA PEOPLE - RHYNE

Richard and Barbara Rhyne's farm has been in the family since 1760. Rhyne is the 5th generation father-to-son farmer to work the property which was originally 10,000 acres. The now 200 acre property is used primarily to raise beef cattle. The Rhyne's have deeded 176 acres to the Catawba Lands Conservancy so that it will not be developed. © The Charlotte Observer/L.MUELLER 2008
