Sherrills Ford, NC - Jeff Blair of Mooresville and his family have all grown up on water skis. He began skiing when he was 3 and entered the Annual Lake Norman New Years Day Barefoot Challenge for the first time in 1988.. Blair circled 3 times around at 39 mph with a time of 151 seconds. He began with a flying back dock start (which resembles a face plant into the water) and peppered his performance with a host of tricks, including tumble turns where he appears to hydroplane across the water while spinning on his back.
